BUSINESS ASSISTANCE GRANT APPLICATION

Eligibility Guidelines

Please note: you will first need to register your business or nonprofit with www.vcreopens.com, if eligible.

  • Businesses and nonprofit organizations with no less than $25,000 and no more than $2 million in gross annual revenue.
  • Businesses and nonprofit organizations must have been in operation in Ventura County prior to end-of-day March 17, 2020.
  • Businesses and nonprofit organizations should be open or in the process of reopening.
  • Businesses must have a current business license or IRS Determination Letter issued by city/county jurisdiction within Ventura County.
  • Nonprofit organizations must be registered and current with the Attorney General’s Office.

Important Dates

  • The application will be live on Wednesday, June 24, 2020 at 9:00 a.m. and will close on Wednesday, July 8, 2020 at 11:59 p.m.
  • You will be notified by email in mid-August 2020 about the status of your application.
  • Checks will be mailed mid-August, 2020. 
  • Checks for the City of Moorpark and City of Camarillo grants will be mailed by mid-September, 2020.
  • If you do not receive communication by August 30, 2020, please email businessassistancegrants@vccf.org or call 805-600-2875 and the Ventura County Community Foundation will assist you.

The application will be live on Wednesday, June 24, 2020 at 9:00 a.m. and will close on Wednesday, July 8, 2020 at 11:59 p.m.

The application is NOT “first come, first served,” all applications received by 11:59 p.m. on July 8, 2020 will be considered. However, please note, for your application to be considered, it must be fully completed and all required documents must be uploaded with the application.

Before you begin, please make sure you have the following documents ready to upload with your application:

  • A photo or scanned copy of your current Real ID or Driver’s License
  • Your most recent W-9
  • A photo or scanned copy of your current Business License or, for nonprofit organizations, a copy of your IRS Determination Letter
  • Click here to learn where you can obtain a copy of your business license or IRS Determination Letter 
  • ONE of the following documents to show annual revenue:
    • Your 2018 or 2019 Income Statement for either the fiscal year or calendar year
      OR
    • Your 2018 or 2019 Tax Return (please provide the full return)
      OR
    • A copy of the business or nonprofit’s bank statement on March 31, 2020 (Please note, the bank statement MUST be as of month-end March 31, 2020)
